Story:
Cassie Sullivan, armed with an M4, emerges from the woods to raid an abandoned gas station. Upon entering, she hears a male voice calling for help. While searching the store, she hears a man, who points a gun at her, but they each put their weapons down. His right hand is in his jacket and as he takes out his hand, she sees a glint of metal and kills him. He was holding a crucifix and the screen cuts to black to show her backstory.

At home, the news reports a strange city-sized hovering structure over their home in Ohio. The extraterrestrials are referred to as "The Others". Ten days later, The Others cut the power off, causing Cassie's classmates' cars to crash into each other and a plane to fall from the sky. After the first attack, Cassie and her family pack up and leave the house. While at a new refuge location, Cassie and her younger brother, Sammy, go to collect water, as they the area is struck by earthquakes and floods. The two had climbed a tree to avoid the flood.

The Others dropped a large metal rod on to the Earth's fault lines causing tsunamis killing those who live in coastal cities as the second attack. The Others genetically create a deadly virus using three million birds to carry a disease, causing more deaths. Cassie reunites with her best friend and mother, Lisa. Cassie's mother warns her to take her brother to safety to avoid the plague. Cassie's mother dies from the plague and her family create a memorial in their backyard.

In search of a safe community, Cassie leaves with her father and brother and eventually stumbles upon a refugee camp in the woods. A few days later, an army rolls into the camp, and places all of the children on a bus. They claim that there is an imminent threat, and they want to take the children to a safe place first, before coming back for the adults. Cassie gets separated from Sam, and from a distance, she watches as her father and other survivors are killed in a massacre by the army after resistance from refugees being told they would never see their children again.

Cassie scavenges her way toward the Wright-Patterson Army Base to find her brother, but is shot in the leg by an unseen enemy when she walks out onto the debris-filled freeway. Cassie attempts to flee into the woods as blood gushes out of her leg, and passes out before reaching safety. Five days later, Cassie wakes up in a bed inside of a house, and meets Evan Walker. She learns that Evan saved her from bleeding to death on the freeway, and has been taking care of her. When Cassie asks about her gun, Evan claims that he didn't see one on the freeway. Later on, Cassie finds her gun hidden underneath the floorboards in Evan's room, and quickly packs her belongings up and runs from the house. She trips on a wire which sets off a home made alarm, and gets chased down by Evan. He pins her down as she tries to escape, but she stays silent as she realizes that an enemy sniper is hunting close to them. Afterwards, Cassie leaves to find Sam, and Evan accompanies her to help her. Cassie eventually kisses him after he bandages her leg again, but later learns that he is an Other in humanoid form. She leaves on her own to go find Sam, but not before Evan tells her that Colonel Vosch and the army are actually Others, and the fifth wave is to use children to eliminate the rest of the earth's survivors by misleading them.

The only thing that keeps Cassie going is the hope that she can save her brother from the training camp established by the army. Ben Parish, Cassie's crush before The Wave, and her brother are in the same squad and Ben learns The Others' plans. When Cassie and Ben are confronted by two army soldiers, Evan falls through the ceiling and kills them. He tells Cassie that he chooses to be human and to help the human race, and kisses her. Evan tells Cassie and Ben to go find Sam before he blows up the training facility. The Others are in the process of evacuating and deploying the children to other cities. When they find Sam, the three of them run and get into Ringer's car as the place blows up, leaving them with the question of whether Evan survived or not. Ben and his squad are enjoying their meal with Cassie, who ponders hope as humanity's driving force for survival.

Description:
The Forest is a 2016 American supernatural horror film directed by Jason Zada and written by Ben Ketai, Nick Antosca, and Sarah Cornwell. It stars Natalie Dormer and Taylor Kinney. The film was released on January 8, 2016 in the United States by Gramercy Pictures.

Story:
The majority of the story is set in and around the Aokigahara Forest, a forest at the northwest base of Mount Fuji in Japan known as a popular destination for the suicidal.

Sara Price, an American woman, receives a phone call from the Japanese police telling her that they think her troubled twin sister Jess is dead, as she was seen going into Aokigahara forest. Despite the concerns of her fiancé, Rob, she journeys to Japan and arrives at the hotel where her sister was staying.

At her hotel, Sara meets a reporter named Aiden. They drink together, and she tells him of her parents' death in a drunk driving accident, which her sister witnessed, but Sara did not. Aiden invites her to go into the forest with him and a park guide, Michi, so she can look for her sister.

As the three enter Aokigahara, Michi tells Sara that Jess has most likely killed herself. Deep in the woods, the group discovers a yellow tent that Sara recognizes as Jess's. With nightfall approaching, Michi suggests they leave a note for Jess and leave. Sara refuses, and Aiden volunteers to stay with her through the night.

That night, Sara hears rustling in the bushes and, believing it may be Jess, rushes into the woods after them. Sarah finds a Japanese girl, Hochiko, who claims to know Jess. The girl warns Sara not to trust Aiden and flees at the sound of his voice. Sara attempts to chase after her but falls and loses her.

The next day, Aiden and Sara become lost and begin to walk around the forest. As they walk, Sara's suspicions are raised and she demands Aiden to give her his phone and finds a picture of Jess on it. Aiden denies any involvement with Jess, but Sara runs into the forest alone. While running she begins to hear voices telling her to turn around. She appears to be unfazed by this until she hears the voice directly behind her. She turns around to see a hanging body and continues to run away. She then falls into an underground cave and goes unconscious, later she wakes up and discovers that she is in the cave with Hochiko, who turns out to be a yūrei. Aiden soon finds her and helps her out of the cave and, with some convincing, they continue to walk together. Elsewhere, Michi discovers the tent abandoned and organizes a search party.

Aiden brings Sara to an old ranger station he'd discovered while looking for her. Inside, Sara hears her sister's voice coming from the basement and finds a note which implies that Aiden is holding Jess captive in the basement. Convinced that he is a threat, Sara attacks and kills a horrified Aiden with a small kitchen knife. As he dies, Sara realizes that Aiden was telling the truth and that the picture on his phone, the voice at the basement door and the note had all been hallucinations.

In the basement of the ranger station, Sara sees a vision of the night her parents died from Jess's point of view. It was actually a murder-suicide initiated by her father. The ghost of her father suddenly appears and lunges toward her, grabbing her wrist. She cuts his fingers away from her wrist and escapes the station. Running into the forest, she sees Jess running toward the lights of the search party. Sara calls to her sister, who is unable to hear her. She realizes that her escape from the ranger station was another hallucination. When she cut at her father's fingers she was actually cutting deep into her own wrists, and is now dying from blood loss in the basement. As she succumbs to her wounds, a yūrei pulls Sara into the forest floor. Her very much alive sister is rescued by the search party and explains that the feeling of her sister is gone and it is assumed that Jess knows Sara is dead. As the search party leaves Michi is seen staring at a figure and realizes, too late, that it's Sara's spirit.

Description:
The Veil is a 2016 American supernatural horror film directed by Phil Joanou and written by Robert Ben Garant. Jason Blum serves as a producer through his production company Blumhouse Productions. The film stars Jessica Alba, Lily Rabe, Aleksa Palladino, Reid Scott and Thomas Jane. The film was released on January 19, 2016, through video on demand prior to being released through home media formats on February 2, 2016, by Universal Pictures.

Story:
Twenty five years after members of Heaven's Veil, a religious cult, commit suicide, documentary filmmaker Maggie Price contacts the sole survivor, Sarah Hope, to film a documentary about what really happened. Sarah, who was five years old when she was found at the scene, accepts when she learns that Maggie has found evidence that never-recovered footage exists. Maggie's brother, Christian, explains that their father was the FBI agent who led the investigation. Shortly after discovering the mass suicide, he committed suicide, driving Maggie and Christian to learn the truth. With her crew, Maggie takes Sarah to the site of the cult's suicide.

They shoot footage of Sarah's reaction to coming back and are concerned when she collapses, overwhelmed by memories and ghostly visions. After they set up camp for the night, Sarah wakes from a nightmare to find that the crew are looking for the grip, Ed, who has disappeared with their van. Ann, the sound editor, and Nick, the gaffer, leave to find Ed. The others follow Sarah, who has remembered the location of a house hidden within the forest. Inside, they find the lost footage and missing cult member Karen Sweetzer's decomposed corpse. In a tape found near her body, Karen rants about not being controlled and briefly addresses Sarah before dying.

After repairing the projector, they begin watching the remaining footage. In it, Jim Jacobs, the leader of Heaven's Veil, describes how he has uncovered the secret to eternal life. By designing drugs with his knowledge of alchemy, he hopes to free his followers' spirits from their bodies. They also learn that Karen is Sarah's mother. Sarah experiences further visions when she talks to her mother, confessing that she feels conflicted about returning. Ann and Nick return, only to reveal that Ed has died in a high speed car accident. Jill, the sound editor, argues they should leave, but Maggie and Sarah insist that they continue watching the tapes. The others reluctantly agree.

In the later tapes, Jim experiments with dangerous drugs to help him temporarily cross over to the spirit realm. During one trance, he possesses a cult member and announces that he has freed the first of three bindings from her soul. Ghosts kill Nick when he leaves to restart the house's generator; he later rejoins the others and kills Ana when they are alone. Ana and Nick return together to continue watching the tapes. Jim reveals further experiments in the footage, where he administers poison to himself. He removes the second binding from his soul, then returns once the antidote is applied to him.

After hearing ghostly whispers, the remaining documentary filmmakers become convinced that the house is haunted. Jill and Matt, the cameraman, leave. They find Ed apparently alive. As Jill applies first aid, Matt leaves to get help. Ed kills Jill, and they return to house. Sarah holds a seance to communicate with her mother, who demands that she entice the documentary filmmakers to stay at the house. Sarah murders Christian, who rises and joins her to continue watching the footage with the others, all of whom but Maggie are now possessed.

In the final reel, Jim reveals that the poison administered to the cult members was supposed to be counteracted by an antidote. Karen objects to giving poison to the children and allows Sarah to flee. Jim is revealed to be Sarah's father and forces Karen to take the poison when she resists. Karen leaves with the footage for the house, where she dies. Before the cult can administer the antidote to themselves, the FBI arrive and interrupt the ceremony. Denied the antidote, the cult members all die. In the present, Sarah reveals that the cult members have possessed the documentary filmmakers, and Jim, possessing Ed, nails Maggie to a tree despite her protests that her father did not know about the antidote. The police arrive with Matt, only to be killed by the cult members, who now possess their bodies, too. Jim announces his plan to feed upon the souls of the rest of the world.

The Divergent Series: Allegiant (also known simply as Allegiant, as credited onscreen) is a 2016 American science fiction adventure film directed by Robert Schwentke with a screenplay by Stephen Chbosky, Bill Collage, Adam Cooper, and Noah Oppenheim. It is the first of two cinematic parts based on the novel Allegiant, the final book in the Divergent trilogy by Veronica Roth, and the third installment in The Divergent Series, produced by Lucy Fisher, Pouya Shabazian, and Douglas Wick, and distributed by Lionsgate.

Story:
Many Chicago citizens run towards the wall, and soldiers under Evelyn are told to shut down the perimeter, and no one is allowed through. Evelyn directs Jack Kang of Candor to hold trials for the Erudite and Dauntless conspirators, a number of them becoming executions, starting with Max. Evelyn and Johanna attempt to pressure Tris and Four into taking leadership positions in the new coalition, but both refuse. After seeing that the hostile situation within the city is only going to get worse, Tris escapes with Four, Caleb, Christina, Tori, and Peter to journey beyond the wall that encloses Chicago, although Tori is killed by Edgar in the attempt.

The group is ambushed by Edgar, who is later disabled by an armed group of individuals and airships. The soldiers take the group to the Bureau of Genetic Welfare, a highly advanced city where they learn that years ago, the government believed that society's problems were caused by "damaged genes". In an attempt to create a better society, they began to modify people's genes, with disastrous results. The government set up "experiments" in an attempt to repair this mistake, establishing isolated cities across the remains of the United States. The hope was to raise enough genetically pure Divergent individuals to fix the "genetic damage" left in the wake of the Purity War.

Tris and Four are tested by Matthew and Nita to verify and study their Divergence. Tris is shown to be truly Divergent, but Four's genetic structure indicates that his genes are still "damaged". Caleb and Peter are assigned to surveillance teams that monitor Chicago. Matthew then brings Tris to the leader of the Bureau, David. David gives Tris a device that allows her to view her mother's memories, and sees that her mother was rescued and adopted by the Bureau before volunteering to join the Chicago experiment out of dedication to the project. In return for his help in restoring peace to Chicago, Tris agrees to help David, who claims that only the council he reports to has the power to intervene.

Meanwhile, Four and Christina train with Nita and joins the Bureau's military force. They join the military on a rescue mission to a nearby wasteland village, though Four becomes mistrusting of the Bureau's intentions after realizing that they were going there to kidnap and forcefully integrate those children into the Bureau's populace. Upon their return, Four discreetly petitions Caleb to keep an eye on the situation in Chicago. Four also attempts to warn Tris of the Bureau's intentions, but she rejects his ideas.

Caleb warns Four of a rapidly escalating conflict back in Chicago between Johanna's group of Allegiants and Evelyn's factionless, with open war becoming an imminent threat. Four appeals to Tris for her to return to Chicago with him to end the bloodshed, but she decides to go with David to Providence to meet with the council. David agrees to reinsert Four back in Chicago, escorted by Matthew and some Bureau soldiers. Once in the air, Matthew quietly reveals to Four that the flight is a trap and he is meant to be killed. A skirmish breaks out and Four defeats all of the soldiers, though the airship crashes as a result. Matthew gives Four his ID card to get through the cloak wall, saying that he doesn't believe in David's work anymore and that he wants to help. Four proceeds to Chicago while Matthew remains behind to be rescued by the Bureau and warn Tris.

Meanwhile, Tris and David meet with the council. Tris disagrees with the council's objectives and criticizes how they have done nothing to stop the violence in Chicago. The council responds that David had the power to intervene whenever he desired, revealing that he had lied to her from the beginning. Tris remarks during the return flight to the Bureau that she never should have trusted him, ending their partnership. Upon her return, she gathers Caleb and Christina in David's airship to return to Chicago, and Nita aids them in escaping.

Four is captured by the factionless and confronts Evelyn to end the violence, though she shows no intention of standing down. Tris, Caleb, and Christina arrive shortly after to find the city tearing itself apart at the opening stage of a full assault by the Allegiant. David makes a deal with Peter in exchange for Peter's promotion and inserts him into Chicago to convince Evelyn to deploy a hidden Bureau stockpile of gas to wipe the memories of the attackers and force a peace in her favor, to which she reluctantly agrees. Peter takes her to a vault where she can deploy the gas across the city but remain safe herself, making her the only individual in Chicago who will remember any of those events.

Tris and Christina fight through the factionless and arrive at the vault, having rescued Four along the way. At the vault door, Four convinces Evelyn to stop the gas attack, as he wouldn't remember who she was if she carried it out. She folds and stops the release, and is shot by a frustrated Peter. Peter gloats in his victory until the same gas starts releasing inside the vault as well. Realizing David has betrayed him, Peter opens the vault so Tris and Four can stop the gas release and flees back towards the cloak wall, as Four says he will find him and make him pay for badly wounding his mother.

Caleb arrives and aids Tris in destroying the gas dispersion hub, stopping the release. The main characters gather atop the Erudite building as they watch the stolen shuttle fly back towards the Bureau, heavily laden with explosives. Tris transmits a message to the whole city, revealing to them the existence of the Bureau and that Chicago was an experiment of the Pure. Her message to the Bureau is that Chicago is no longer their experiment, but the home of its citizens. Caleb detonates the explosives at the end of the message, tearing a massive hole through the cloak wall and revealing the two cities to each other. The film ends with the Chicago characters gazing at the Bureau in the distance, with David standing behind Tris, glaring at her.

DESCRIPTION:
Spectre (2015) is the twenty-fourth James Bond film produced by Eon Productions. It features Daniel Craig in his fourth performance as James Bond, and Christoph Waltz as Ernst Stavro Blofeld, with the film marking the character's re-introduction into the series. It was directed by Sam Mendes as his second James Bond film following Skyfall, and was written by John Logan, Neal Purvis, Robert Wade and Jez Butterworth. It is distributed by Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer and Columbia Pictures. With a budget around $245 million, it is the most expensive Bond film and one of the most expensive films ever made.

STORY:
Following Gareth Mallory's promotion to M, James Bond takes leave from MI6. Receiving a posthumous message from the previous M, Bond carries out an unauthorised mission in Mexico City, killing three men plotting a terrorist bombing on a stadium, before giving chase to their leader, Marco Sciarra. In the ensuing struggle, Bond steals his ring, which is emblazoned with a stylised octopus. Upon returning to London, Bond is indefinitely suspended from field duty by M. Parallel to this, M is in the midst of a power struggle with C, the head of a private intelligence agency, the Joint Intelligence Service. C campaigns for Britain to form "Nine Eyes", a global surveillance and intelligence co-operation initiative and uses his influence to close down the '00' section as he believes it to be outdated.

Bond disobeys M's order and travels to Rome to attend Sciarra's funeral. That evening he seduces Sciarra's widow Lucia, who tells him about Spectre, a criminal organisation to which her husband belonged. Bond infiltrates a Spectre meeting, where he identifies the leader, Franz Oberhauser. When Oberhauser addresses Bond by name, he is pursued across the city by Spectre's assassin, Mr. Hinx. Moneypenny informs Bond that the information he collected leads to Mr. White, a former member of Quantum—a subsidiary of Spectre—who has fallen afoul of Oberhauser and has been marked for assassination. Bond asks her to investigate Oberhauser, who was presumed dead years earlier.

Bond locates White in Austria, where he learns that White is dying of thallium poisoning. White admits to growing disenchanted with Quantum and tells Bond to find and protect his daughter, Dr. Madeline Swann, who will take him to L'Américain; this will in turn lead him to Spectre. White then commits suicide. Bond approaches Swann, and after rescuing her from Hinx, the two of them meet Q. Through Sciarra's ring, Q forensically links Oberhauser to Bond's previous missions, identifying Le Chiffre, Dominic Greene and Raoul Silva as Spectre agents. Swann reveals that L'Américain is a hotel in Tangier.

The two travel to the hotel and discover White left evidence directing them to Oberhauser's operations base in the desert. After an encounter with Hinx in which the assassin is killed, Bond and Swann are escorted to Oberhauser's base. There, Oberhauser reveals that Spectre has been funding the Joint Intelligence Service while staging terrorist attacks around the world, creating a need for the Nine Eyes programme. In return C will give Spectre unlimited access to intelligence gathered by Nine Eyes, allowing them to anticipate and counter-act investigations into their operations. While torturing Bond, Oberhauser reveals to Swann their shared history: after the younger Bond was orphaned, Oberhauser's father, Hannes, became his temporary guardian. Jealous of his father's affection for Bond, Oberhauser killed Hannes and staged his own death, subsequently adopting the name Ernst Stavro Blofeld and going on to form Spectre. Bond and Swann overpower him and escape, destroying the base in an explosion and leaving Blofeld to die.

As the Moroccan facility was one node in a wider network, Bond and Swann return to London where they meet M, Bill Tanner, Q, and Moneypenny with the intention of arresting C and stopping Nine Eyes from being activated. Swann and Bond are abducted separately, while the rest of the group proceed with the plan. After Q succeeds in preventing the Nine Eyes from going online, a brief struggle between M and C ends with the latter falling to his death. Meanwhile, Bond is taken to the old MI6 building, which is scheduled for demolition. Moving throughout a ruined labyrinth, he encounters a disfigured Blofeld, who tells him that he has a choice: escape the building before explosives are detonated, or die trying to save Swann. Bond finds Swann and the two escape by boat as the building collapses. Bond shoots down Blofeld's helicopter, which crashes onto Westminster Bridge. As Blofeld crawls away from the wreckage, Bond confronts him but ultimately leaves him to be arrested by M, before leaving the bridge with Swann.

DESCRIPTION:
The Revenant is a 2015 American survival drama film directed, co-produced, and co-written by Alejandro G. Iñárritu. The screenplay by Iñárritu and Mark L. Smith is based in part on Michael Punke's novel of the same name, inspired by the experiences of frontiersman Hugh Glass in 1823, in what is now Montana and South Dakota. It stars Leonardo DiCaprio as Glass, and co-stars Tom Hardy, Domhnall Gleeson, and Will Poulter. The film follows Glass's quest for revenge after one of his men betrays him, kills his son, and leaves the severely wounded Glass behind.

STORY:
In 1823, a crew of hunters and trappers traveling through unorganized U.S. territory (later the Dakotas) suffers heavy losses in an ambush by Arikara Indians. A handful of survivors escape by boat, but Hugh Glass, a veteran trapper, advises them to abandon the vessel and continue on foot. Their commander, Captain Andrew Henry, agrees with Glass, but others, including the belligerent John Fitzgerald, are furious to learn that they will have to discard most of the valuable pelts. The Arikara catch up with the boat, but find and kill only two stowaways.

While scouting ahead the next morning, Glass gets attacked by a grizzly bear when he disturbs her cubs, suffering severe wounds to his throat, back, legs, and arms before he is able to kill her. Henry patches him up as best he can, but soon realizes that the party cannot afford to waste time carrying him along. On Fitzgerald's advice, Henry tries to shoot Glass but ultimately relents. Instead, he pays Fitzgerald and the inexperienced Jim Bridger to watch over Glass until he dies and ensure that he be properly buried. Glass's Indian son, Hawk, volunteers to accompany them. While Bridger is busy collecting water, Fitzgerald tries to smother Glass and stabs Hawk to death when he tries to intervene. Claiming that an Indian attack is imminent, Fitzgerald throws Glass in a shallow grave and steals his musket and knife. After hesitating over whether or not to help Glass, Bridger runs off as well.

Upon reuniting with Henry, Fitzgerald informs him that both Glass and Hawk died of exposure, while a guilt-ridden Bridger refuses to accept his share of the payment. Meanwhile, Glass, on the verge of death from hunger and cold, struggles to recover his strength. He is also pursued by the Arikara, whose chief, Elk Dog, is in search of his kidnapped daughter. Glass encounters passing Pawnee Indian, Hikuc, who provides him with shelter and food, and offers to let Glass travel with him. One morning, he wakes up to find that Hikuc has been hanged by French trappers. He infiltrates their camp and rescues a captive Indian girl, unaware that she is Elk Dog's daughter. The Arikara pursue Glass and force him and his horse off a cliff, leaving them for dead. With no other option, Glass uses the horse's corpse as a makeshift shelter.

While preparing to depart for the season, Henry picks up a French hunter carrying Glass's canteen. Based on his information, a search party locates Glass and brings him back to camp. Henry has Bridger arrested for treason, but learns that Fitzgerald has already fled with the expedition's money. Seeking revenge, Glass and Henry set out to track him. When they separate, Fitzgerald ambushes Henry and scalps him to make it look like an Indian attack, hoping to throw Glass off his trail.

Using the dead Henry as a decoy, Glass tricks Fitzgerald into revealing his position and wounds him with a pistol shot. The two men engage in a brutal hand-to-hand fight, with Glass finally getting the upper hand. He turns Fitzgerald over to the Arikara, who proceed to kill and scalp him. Grateful for Glass's actions in freeing his child, Elk Dog spares his life. After completing his revenge, an injured Glass retreats into the forest and experiences another flashback of his deceased wife.
